Now that road transport concessions have been renewed, the Municipalities of Manacor, Campos and Felanitx are about to become important public transport hubs in the Llevant and Migjorn areas with more services available.

The bus stop next to Manacor train station will be an important intermodal point and there will be two hubs in the city.

One will be at the Molí d’en Polit stop near the Regional Hospital and the other in Plaza de la Mora next to the train station.

From there passengers will be able to board connections to Llevant and the Migjorn. Not all lines will pass through the other stops at Plaza Madrid and Avenida Mossèn Alcover.

The stop next to the station is being reinforced to increase bus plus train use and an hourly connection will be offered between the different modes of transport, so that passengers can travel from Palma to Cala Rajada, for example.

There will also be new hubs in Campos and Felanitx.

The Campos stop will be at Avenida de la Verge with a main line connection for Manacor-Campos-Palma and buses to Cala d’Or, Santanyí, Colònia de Sant Jordi and Cala Figuera.

The Felanitx stop will be on the Paseo Arnest Mestre with a main line connection for Palma and Manacor and buses to Porreres, Portocolom and s’Horta.

It’s hoped that the new facilities will offer residents more freedom and better public transport.

The car park at sa Pobla train station is also being extended to make room for a new bus stop.
