A 24-year-old motorcyclist died on Tuesday afternoon after falling from his bike and being thrown against rocks to one side of the Caimari to Lluc road.

The accident occurred shortly after 6.15 just outside Caimari.

When medics arrived, he was in a very serious condition but was attempting to speak. Despite their efforts at the scene, he passed away an hour later.

On Tuesday morning, the driver of a car lost his life after losing control in the wet on the Calonge-S'Alqueria Blanca road in Santanyi. His car was hit by a van.
