What an embarrassment The British Ambassador should be telling expats to comply with Spanish law, especially as they had plenty of time to exchange their licenses over the last two years, instead of trying to bend the rules just to suit those who were too lazy and self-important to do what was required. I'm sure there are more important issues for the Ambassador to be dealing with that affect everyone.
Residents have had 2 years or more to get this sorted out but they preferred to bury their heads in the sand and pretend it wasn't happening. Now their UK licences aren't valid anymore, somehow it all someone else's fault and they think they're hard done by. The same people were probably pro Brexit. You couldn't make it up.
There's an easier solution than fury and outrage; take a driving test.
