Rayo Vallecano 1 - Real Mallorca 0
Someone needs to change the record. Mallorca, again mainly dominant, failed utterly to convert their chances. A couple of clear ones went begging in the first half, Campabadal hitting wide on the half hour and Moutinho and Diaz having combined in a counterattack earlier. Rayo were not without their opportunities either, and the home team came out strongly at the start of the second half, only for Mallorca, as in the first, to take control. This time, however, there was less threat to the Rayo goal, and it was Alex Moreno for the Madrid team who decided the match with twenty minutes to go.

Four games played and only two points secured for Mallorca, who languish in the bottom four.
