Real Mallorca, well clear at the top of Segunda B, Grupo 3, faced bottom-of-the table Real Zaragoza Deportivo Aragón (the Zaragoza B team) in the last match before the short festive break. Three easy points?

Zaragoza, having secured their first win of the season last weekend, started with confidence, though it was Mallorca who created the first opportunities - López had two chances within the first quarter of an hour. But on 38 minutes, Nieto struck for the visitors.

Almost straight after the break Zaragoza could have gone two up. Abdón responded - by missing - and there were three more attempts by the visitors before Cedric finally broke Mallorca's duck after 73 minutes. When López added a second ten minutes later, it looked as though Mallorca would be heading for the Christmas break with the three points they could have anticipated. It wasn't to be. Kike equalised with two minutes left.

After nineteen games Mallorca are seven points ahead of Villarreal B at the top of the table.
