Despite (or perhaps because of) barriers having been installed on the outside lane of the access road to arrivals parking at Palma Son Sant Joan Airport, the problem with queues of drivers waiting to pick up rather than use car parks has been aggravated.

I picked up last Sunday. Parked in the appropriate slot and went to wait for my Son & grandaughter. Had a coffee and a croisant inside while I waited. All very civilised, and only cost me 2.3 euros. Great service.
None of this caused much of a problem until a few thoughtless drivers started leaving their cars where they were against the barrier and, presumably, going into the airport to collect whomever therefore not being able to move their cars forward as others left the line. As ever, the unthinking few spoil it for everyone.

It’s so cheap to park here it’s stupid to cause such congestion. Get a grip people pay a euro and park your car .
Where there’s a will not to pay, there’s always a way, no matter how little it is or the size of the inconvenience. It’s as if the Spanish authorities don’t know their own people and their willingness to go the extra mile to avoid paying a few centimos more. Viva España!
