We are very lucky that the British have an enduring love affair with Mallorca and Spain because every day that goes past it appears that Spain and the European Union are making it more difficult to come here.
No more travel paperwork

o bAside from any MDB exaggeration, it's hard to tell if British tourism is headed for a record year or not (especially considering all the imaginary barriers that Brits have to endure). But yes, the other 95% of the island appears to headed for a record year. True. It's pretty convenient to simply hop on a plane from most any northern European airport and be here in a couple of hours. Surely that's one part of the attraction. Many Europeans do it several times per year, every year.
Morgan WilliamsWell. British booking for the upcoming season in Spain is at unseen record numbers. What counts to many is that there is a good place within 2 hours flight, I assume.
Stephen NivenYes, I know. But it's been one of the narratives here in the past, since "Mallorca" is "punishing" innocent Brits, despite all evidence to the contrary. All of those nonsensical narratives have been published here previously. Some of that egregious misinformation is currently at the top of the homepage. Again. Surely, the MDB sees it as innocuous clickbait (hey, it's a business). The problem is, that some (many?) actually believe this nonsense. Including the authors, apparently.
Stephen NivenPlease don't confuse Morgan with facts.
James WalkerNews for you James, you no longer have any entitlement to an opinion on how Spaon handles immigrunts. You're a furriner here too now.
Morgan WilliamsGreece? It's in the EU, same rules. You mean Turkey or Morocco (both also 90/180, six month passport validity). Lonely out there isn't it?
James Walker'EU communists' Do you actually understand the words you use? Try using a dictionary.
o bI sense they're just succumbing to their own fake news. It's not just the 90 day thing. Every Brit now has to have a valid passport, a police invitation, proof of 100€ per day spending money, proof of where they're staying, pay tourist tax.. and next year, 6 quid! It just goes on and on and on... And the queues at the airports while they check all of this are atrocious. Processing 60 million Brits with just one passport control station. It can take days... If that's not proof that Mallorca is picking on innocent Brits, I don't know what else they could do to make it worse. So, Brits are just going to Greece instead 🙄
I agree with Ob on the fact this is nonsense but I will not back up the EU communists, they won't be happy until we are all under there control as good do as you're told citizens. It's funny that they want all this extra technology and boarder controls for normal folk, but if you come in in a banana boat from some hell hole, that's ok. They can mix with us as they wish and get benefit after benefit for free.
This is nonsense. There is no obligation to stay in two blocks of 90 days although this is wrongly stated twice in the piece. It's 90 days within a rolling 180 days period. Jason, keep your hateful campaign for yourself. EU is not making Anything "more difficult by the day". You just keep stumbling about things you never cared about: the typical ill-informed Brexiter, waking up to reality, and having to produce accusations against the EU to explain and justify to yourself the disaster you piled onto yourself - and what is worse - onto your compatriots.
