The Guardia Civil has confirmed that the human remains found yesterday afternoon are those of Jacqueline Tennant, who went missing in October 2007. The remains were discovered by a hiker in an area of difficult access from the road from Pollensa to Lluc and were then recovered by Guardia Civil mountain rescue agents, who were guided to the location by the hiker. The remains were then taken for forensic examination and autopsy in Palma. Indications suggest that she suffered a mountaineering accident. The Guardia Civil is liaising closely with the British Consulate.
