The films that were nominated in this year’s BAFTA British Short Film Award category are to be shown in the auditorium at Palma’s Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art on 21 November.

The winning film of the five that were nominated was the comedy Boogaloo And Graham (which was also nominated for an Oscar). Set in Belfast of the 1970s during The Troubles, it tells the story of two brothers who fight to keep hold of their two pet chickens - Boogaloo and Graham. Because their mother is going to have a baby, their parents intend to replace the chickens with a dog. “But everyone has a dog. No one has chickens!”

The films will be shown from 7pm, and entrance is free until full capacity is reached.

They will be shown in English with Spanish subtitles.
