The Bulletin officially launched its Second Golf Cup tournament today at the Camp de Mar course in brilliant sunshine. Fingers crossed that the weather will stay the same for the big event on November 13.

Heidi Stadler, chief executive of First Mallorca, the principal sponsors of the event, Holly Veneman of Blevins Franks, one of the key supporters of the event, and the "king of golf tournaments" Robert Winsor also attended the presentation.

It was announced that the two overall winners of the event (male and female) will be given a free flight around the island courtesy of Balearic Helicopters as well as a hamper of Majorcan food products from El Corte Ingles. Robert Winsor MBE, who has organised numerous golf events on the island, is helping with the final preparation for the event on November 13.

All players taking part in the tournament will receive a gift bag from some of our sponsors, including Majorcan sea salt from Macia Batle, a bottle of olive oil and numerous other small gifts. The prizes for the event have been donated by El Corte Ingles and Laura Ashley. Apart from the actual golf prizes there is also the tombola with plenty of prizes ranging from a Bose surround music system courtesy of Ocean TV, a pop art painting of David Bowie, VIP Real Mallorca tickets, a signed copy of Jeffrey Archer's latest novel, a 100 euro gift voucher from Ticket travel agency plus much more.

The tournament takes the form of an individual Stableford event.

All players taking part in the tournament will receive a gift bag from our sponsors, breakfast, halfway-house food and drink, and a gala dinner along with their 18-hole round of golf.
