Donald Trelford, former editor of the Observer and Bulletin columnist, died this morning after a long illness. He had been a regular contributor the Bulletin for many years.

Always sad when someone dies, but sadder still is this “article” because it ain’t no obituary. Lots of dates, titles and facts. Not a single word on what the man was like. Nothing on family, friends, passions, quirks. You have no anecdotes or memories to tell of him? Perhaps it’d be better, Jason, if you got someone who actually knew him to write about him as it seems from this that you didn’t.
