Briton drowns in Puerto Pollensa

A 62-year-old Briton drowned on Thursday afternoon in Puerto Pollensa.

The incident occurred around half past three. Lifeguards brought him out of the water and started attempts to resuscitate him. Medics arrived and they continued for fifty minutes.

They were ultimately unable to save him and he was pronounced dead.

According to those close to the scene, the deceased's partner alerted the authorities.
