Drowning in Banyalbufar

A 25-year-old woman drowned on Saturday evening after falling into the sea in Banyalbufar.

Emergency services responded to calls around 8pm. A Maritime Safety Agency boat was first on the scene and rescued the woman from the sea.

She was taken by helicopter to Son Espases Hospital. Despite medics' efforts to save her, she died.
