It was pretty warm in areas on Thursday and is expected to be warmer on Friday, and then we have the forecast for very high temperatures at the weekend.

As has been the case for the past few days, a high of 33C in Pollensa on Saturday continues to be predicted. Other weather stations in northern areas are showing up to 32C. Aemet has posted to say that temperatures of 30-plus are likely over the weekend. In southern areas, the forecast temperatures are lower.

On Thursday, the differences in temperature were quite marked - highs of just 18.9 in Portocolom and 19.5 at the airport, for example.

It does appear as if this hot weather will come to an abrupt halt on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping and rain being on the cards. The breezes are due to be mainly from the south up to Monday but they will be from the north by Tuesday.
