Monro has lived in Mallorca for 40 years, and supported the local football team RCD Mallorca for almost as long. Born in Scotland, in Kirkcaldy, Fife, home to the mighty Raith Rovers, football has been a major part of his life for as long as he can remember. He once interviewed George Best in Mallorca for the Bulletin and has appeared on Sky Sports and Eurosport. His hobbies include cookery and gardening, and he was a founder member of the Calvia Quiz League, sadly no longer in operation post pandemic. His favourite foods include Tandoori Chicken and Oxtail, and his favourite TV show is The Walking Dead.
