A 32-year-old Slovakian man was arrested on Saturday in connection with a wave of robberies from hotels in Palmanova and Paguera.
He is linked to at least thirteen robberies from various hotels. This number may increase as the investigation remains open.
The Guardia Civil received reports of robberies that were similar in that safes in hotel rooms were the target. Some of these robberies occurred while guests were asleep.
From security camera footage, investigators were able to observe that the perpetrator was also taking suitcases in which he had stashed cash and valuables. In one instance, a necklace valued at 7,500 euros was stolen. In order to gain entry to rooms, he had either climbed onto balconies or had forced doors open.
Last Saturday during a Guardia Civil traffic control in Santa Ponsa, officers stopped a vehicle in which there were various valuable items. The driver couldn't explain where they had come from. He was arrested and was subsequently linked to the robberies.
On Monday afternoon, he appeared in court. It is understood that he has a history of various crimes.

Donald JumpRecognise the nationality patterns and do what - ban people from Slovakia? The only concerning pattern I see are hotels with a major lack of security for their guests. They should disclose how many of these hotels have these issues so guests can choose to stay elsewhere.
Donald JumpIt would seem that the suspect doesn’t agree with your comment
And will the Court just BANISH him from Palma Nova.? !!!
I was gonna ask where in spain wasn't he born. At least the MDB discloses these criminals nationalities so we begin to recognise the patterns.
