Mallorca is getting braced for a wet and wild week ahead with another wave of storms and winds forecast to hit and temperatures set to fall below normal for this time of year.

According to the deputy spokesman for the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) in the Balearics, Bernat Amengual the eye of the storm will form on Thursday between Morocco and the Gulf of Cadiz and will slam into the island on Friday bringing heavy rain which, at the moment, will last until Sunday.

It will also be colder than usual, as it is expected that the maximum temperatures will not exceed 21 degrees Celsius, while the normal temperature is between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius.
In the build, Mallorca can expect a gradual build up of showers over the coming days.
