Manacor's second weekend of its spring fairs, with cossier dancers on Sunday. Lloseta has its shoes fair. It's Arta's beer festival on Friday evening and all Saturday. Sa Pobla goes gastronomic with potatoes. British pianist James Rhodes is in Palma on Sunday. Ricky Martin at Palma Arena on Wednesday is sold out.

A packed week. One of the oldest, if not the oldest of Majorca's fairs - Sineu's on Sunday. Europe Day in Palmanova, the Pollensa Wine Fair at the weekend, Beer Palma all week, the Moscow Ballet on Wednesday, and a weekend of street circus in Alcudia.

The Palma Boat Show starts on Friday. Fairs at the weekend in Es Pillari (Palma), Porreres, Sant Joan and Santa Maria. Palma's Feria de Abril also starts on Friday. And it's the return of the Mallorca Smooth Jazz Festival at the Protur Gran Hotel in Sa Coma.

Fairs of one description or another this weekend in Colonia Sant Jordi, Manacor, Muro, Porto Cristo, Puerto Alcudia and Santa Eugenia. And it's the Sunday of the Angel, with the biggest event being at Bellver Castle in Palma.

What's on in Majorca: 10-16 April
Holy Week in Majorca. There are processions across the island, especially on Thursday and Good Friday for the Last Supper (mostly everywhere at 19.00 on Thursday) and the "Davallament" (descent from the cross) usually at 21.00 on the Friday. Outside Palma, Felanitx and Pollensa are two of the main places for the Davallament. In addition on Good Friday, there is the staging of the "Via Crucis" on the steps of the Cathedral at midday.
