Pepe Tirado of Acotur says that there can only be a change to the tourism model if order is imposed.
Acotur welcomes the fact that there is to be new regulation of all-inclusive but wants existing rules to be enforced.
It is suspected that Acotur had been acting under the orders of Tolo Cursach.

Tito's in Palma, which like BCM belongs to the Cursach Group, is also currently closed because of a town hall order.
"Some business owners have adapted to the new image by changing what they offer. Others have not. Hence, there are the signs."
Acotur is criticising a "lack of political will" to control serious problems that increase each summer.
This is the practice whereby certain hotels “covertly” offer all-inclusive when guests check in.
