It's Sant Joan (John the Baptist) on Sunday. It's also midsummer. Demons will be out on Saturday in Palma and Muro and in Deya on Sunday. Beaches, especially in Calvia and Palma, will be the places to celebrate on Saturday night. Thursday is World Music Day, so there is music in the streets of Pollensa. Inca has a festival of music on Thursday; Palma on Friday. Mallorca Open tennis (women) all week in Santa Ponsa. Puerto Alcudia Sant Pere Fiestas start on Friday.

For Sant Joan (John the Baptist), there are night parties on Saturday in Deya, Mancor de la Vall and Muro.British indie band The Magic Numbers headline the Summer Pie Festival at Es Baluard in Palma.BH Mallorca Stage in Magalluf kicks off the season on Thursday.There's an all-day festival at Palma Arena on Sunday for freedom of expression.

The fiestas really crank up now. The feast day for Sant Joan is Saturday. There is Palma's Nit de Foc with ten demons' gangs on the Friday night. Deya's correfoc is on Sunday. Sant Pere fiestas start in Puerto Alcudia on Thursday; Sant Marçal in Marratxi on Friday. The Hairy Johns are out in Felanitx, Sant Joan and Sant Llorenç on Saturday. For World Music Day (Wednesday) there are two major free, open-air events in Palma. Tinie Tempah is in Magalluf on Tuesday.
